ALL-STAR BENEFIT CONCERT FOR 89.1 WBOI NPR NEWS & DIVERSE MUSIC

Concert Information: Saturday, February 17, 7 p.m. , Sweetwater Theatre, 5501 U.S. 30, Fort Wayne

Addison Agen, along with Sunny Taylor and Michael Kelsey, are encouraging the community to support 89.1 WBOI public radio through an exclusive benefit concert.

All three acts are known for their skills as folk music singer/songwriters, with touches of pop, rock, blues and Americana.

Agen recently finished second on  NBC’s Emmy-award winning reality competition “The Voice.” The 16-year-old Concordia Lutheran High School student won hearts and votes with her renditions of “Lucky” and “Both Sides Now,” along with other songs.

A popular local performer, Taylor appears on stages around Fort Wayne and is a familiar face at area festivals, outdoor concerts and other venues in northeast Indiana.

Indianapolis-based guitarist Michael Kelsey is known for his percussive style and has performed around the country.  His most recent CD, “Falling Awake” is a mix of lyrical music and instrumentals.

89.1 WBOI's  Meet the Music host Julia Meet and Movie Music Spotlight host Rob Martinez will emcee.

Sponsors of this All-Star Benefit Concert include Dr. Stephen & Maria Phillipp and Lupke Rice Insurance.
